ABOUT US
Sweetwine is a Christian music ministry at Valparaiso University, whose mission is to intentionally spread the message of Jesus through music, fellowship, and service.
​
Our name Sweetwine came from the idea that Jesus is the “sweet wine” to our “bitter cup of life.” Jesus brings us sweet news of salvation that comes in the form of his body and blood. Sweetwine’s motto is “Live to Tell,” which means to go out and tell others about the Good News that Jesus has brought us.
WHAT DOES THAT LOOK LIKE
A small group of college students committing to grow in Christ together by meeting twice a week to practice music, build community, and grow deeper in His word. Sweetwine also goes on tour twice a year, once during Thanksgiving Break and again during Spring Break. They sing and engage at various schools, churches, homeless shelters, and nursing homes through the year.
